About
Meet Rachel
Hi, I'm Rachel, a pediatric speech-language pathologist who believes communication is one of the most meaningful connections we share. I chose this profession because I wanted to help others strengthen the bond that connects us all—communication.
Every child deserves to feel heard, understood, and confident in expressing who they are. I find so much joy in using play, connection, and each child's unique interests to support language development in a way that feels natural, engaging, and meaningful. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where children feel safe to explore, communicate, and grow while families feel supported every step of the way.
I believe the strongest learning happens through genuine relationships. By meeting children where they are and building on their strengths, I strive to help them develop the skills and confidence to connect with the people and world around them.
Outside of therapy
When I'm not in the therapy room, you'll usually find me training for my next triathlon, heading out for a run, or spending time outdoors with my family. I'm a mom to energetic six-year-old twins who keep life fun, adventurous, and full of surprises. We also have two dogs who are always part of the action. Originally from Nebraska, my family and I recently made the exciting move to Virginia, where we're enjoying exploring our new home and community. Whether I'm cheering at the finish line of a race, playing with my kids, or discovering new places around Virginia, I value the importance of connection, balance, and making the most of everyday moments.
