About
Meet Julie
Hi, I’m Julie, a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist serving clients in Virginia, South Carolina, Maine, and Florida. I hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and have nearly 20 years of experience supporting children and adolescents in developing strong communication skills.
Throughout my career, I’ve provided comprehensive evaluation and therapy services for children ages 3–18 in the areas of speech sound production, fluency, receptive and expressive language, and social/pragmatic communication. I’ve worked across a variety of settings—including public and private schools, outpatient clinics, teletherapy, virtual schools, and home health—which allows me to adapt my approach to meet each child’s unique needs.
My approach is holistic, collaborative, and centered on the whole child. I believe meaningful progress happens when therapy is practical, engaging, and connected to everyday life. I work closely with families, caregivers, and educators to ensure that communication skills carry over beyond sessions and into real-world success.
As a Virginia Beach native, I’m proud to serve the community where I was raised. I live here with my husband and our three teenage children, and I understand firsthand the importance of feeling supported when your child needs extra help. My goal is to provide accessible, high-quality services where every child feels confident and empowered to communicate.
Outside of therapy
I enjoy spending time with my 3 kids, traveling and being outdoors.
