About
Meet Rebecca
I graduated with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Duke University in 2019, and have since practiced in Michigan and Virginia in a variety of settings including outpatient, independent and assisted living facilities, and at-home care. I knew I wanted to go into healthcare from an early age and decided to become a physical therapist after hearing about the profession from one of my volleyball coaches who was a PT.
Through her stories, I realized that physical therapy was at the intersection of my beliefs, interests, and skills, as it allowed me to problem-solve and explore creative options to best address physical ailments as well as develop relationships with people. My clinical approach begins with getting to know my patients and establishing a strong patient-PT relationship in an effort to create a functional plan of care to best support the needs and goals of my patients.
Outside of therapy
I have an 11-month old who keeps me pretty busy :) Other than that, I coach travel club volleyball and I love traveling, hiking, reading, watching sports (Go Duke and Roll Tide), and the occasional tv binge when I have the time.
