About
Meet Sierra
I became an occupational therapist after discovering my passion for working with children with special needs at a young age. When I was in fifth grade, my aunt worked as a special education substitute teacher, and through her experiences, I was introduced to the incredible resilience and uniqueness of children with developmental and learning differences. From that point on, I knew I wanted a career centered around helping children thrive.
My clinical approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and child-centered care. I believe in meeting each child where they are while building on their strengths to promote independence, confidence, and meaningful participation in daily life. I value creating engaging, play-based, and individualized interventions that support sensory regulation, motor development, emotional regulation, and functional skills. One of the most rewarding parts of being a therapist is helping children and families discover new strategies and ways of doing things that allow the child to succeed despite challenges.
Outside of therapy
I enjoy taking art classes, experimenting with new recipes, and participating in high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts. I also love spending quality time with friends and family and relaxing with retro video games
